Our latest scientific article is finally published!

It is with great pleasure that we announce our study has recently been published in PLOS ONE.

This research is based on Sophie St-Amour’s master’s project. The study identified variants in the PCK1 and SLC22A2 genes associated with the response to metformin treatment in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

The findings suggest that genetic factors may explain why some individuals respond less effectively to metformin or experience side effects. Ultimately, such results could help optimize type 2 diabetes treatment by integrating genetic factors into a more personalized approach.
